Kim discovered Pilates during her college years while searching for a way to stay moving without access to a gym. After graduating she spent 7 years working in the finance industry but love of the method always stayed with her. In 2010 she pursued her first Pilates certification with the classical school Pilates Academy International. The following year she left her corporate career to start a family and found herself teaching full time. It was truly a career found "by accident" but fueled always by a love and deep belief in the benefits of Pilates and a desire to share it with others.
In the years that followed she received other certifications from Personal Best Pilates Academy as well as specialties in functional movement and styles of yoga. The last ten years she has taught for several Pilates/yoga studios, gyms, and Physical Therapists which exposed her to all different styles and perspectives on health and movement. This blended perspective has settled her into a particular style of teaching. While she always desires to honor the Pilates intent, she will also "bend rules" to help people enjoy moving, reach their full potential, and feel successful. She continues her journey currently with Pure Body Teacher Training bridging into faculty, hosting online workshops, and running her personal Pilates training business from her space in NJ.
