Hi there! Any suggestions for possible useful props to use when a client does not have enough ankle flexion or big toe extension to have the foot up against the Reformer shoulder stop? I've tried putting a pad between the heel and shoulder stop to allow 'contact' with the back chain, but that still involves (and increases) big toe flexion. (Yes I have been working lots with their feet, but change takes time ;) Kinh - btw many thanks for a well presented workshop - and for me a great revision for some of Madeline's (and James's) work :)

Hi Fiona! Nice to see you on here and I apologize for the delay. I have used a small cylinder shaped bolster to prop my clients feet on. The small (soft) bolster would be placed in front of the shoulder rest, the toes and metatarsals would lay on the top. This decreases the angle of tow flexion on the carriage, but they can still have the toe balls reach the shoulder blocks to push. I can imagine you can also use a thick rolled up towel as well. This usually helps because it decreases the angle of plantar flexion, but note that this does increase their angle of knee flexion. Let me know if that works for you. Thank you for watching the workshop and I hope it helps with your work!!!
