Hi Kuan, I understand the concept of the spine twisting towards the convex side , but how can you know if the rotation is done clock wise or counter clockwise.?

To determine whether the vertebrae has rotated clockwise or counter clockwise , first we have to establish that the face of the clock is facing skyward, with 6 o’clock in front of oneself and 12 o’clock behind oneself, 3 o’clock on the left, and 9 o’clock on the right. When the vertebrae is in neutral position, the vertebrae body will be facing 6 o’clock and the spinous processes will be facing 12 o’clock. If the vertebrae body begins to rotate towards 8 o’clock (towards the right), that will be a clockwise rotation, if the vertebrae body begins to rotate towards 4 o’clock (towards the left) that will be a counter clockwise rotation. Hope this clarifies your question.
