Hi, I love Wendy’s Biotensegrity courses. How is this course different from the others on the Fusion EDU? Thank you. |

Hi Amy, thank you so much for your feedback on my Biotensegrity courses. Every teacher on this site is excellent, and not everyone is teaching from a Biotensegrity perspective, so you just need to check out what they have written about the context of the course to see what can be valuable for you. I'd love to hear what you are noticing that is valuable for you in exploring movement through a Biotensegrity approach with me? xwendy |

I love how Wendy connects how our bodies are formed with how they move healthily. When weight bearing on my wrists, I experienced the relief of pressure when softening my eyes, as Wendy mentioned. It’s intriguing, is there more explanation on how that works? Enlightening also, how DTF and UTB naturally aligns the pelvis and supports the lunge. And lastly, when in the lunge and experiencing the Inward Spiral supported by the Outward Spiral, is the lumbar spine maintaining the outward spiral, while the thoracic and cervical spine is spiraling inward? I appreciate your knowledge! Sarah Englert |

Hi Sarah, and thank you for your curiosity! You are so right that we are not just studying exercises or how to "fix" something. We are studying whole body awareness in relationship with the gravitational field, and how to have a conversation with our body, which KNOWS how to self-heal, self-regulate and adapt. So, weight bearing on your wrists is related to how your hands sense their relationship with the rest of your body. When you allow soft eyes, seeing the sides of the room, which is also called peripheral vision, you widen your gaze, which softens and widens the back of your skull, your chest, your solar plexus area, your hips, and the domes of your hands and feet - very powerful sensory awareness!. When you allow your body to sense Down the Back (DTB) from the waterfall sensation of your shoulder blades, spine, tailbone to tripod of your feet, a REBOUND of gravity's partner, ground reaction force (Up the Front - UTF) from your inner ankles, inner thighs/hamstrings, to the front of your pelvic floor, along the front of your spine to your inner ears, SO when you can sense the relationship of your bent knee sitting bone, releasing toward your rear foot in a lunge, it naturally realigns your pelvis. AS for your last curiosity, think beyond parts of the body to the EXPERIENCE of having a conversation with your body in relationship with DTB and UTF. Notice that you can arrange your body in a lunge position, with your hands on the wall or on a chair, and when you reach back with the arm on the extended leg side, your upper body has the experience of spiraling to the right, supported by your lower body. When you look toward your right hand or toward your left shoulder, you are moving more internally through your craniosacral fluid, so that is what I am calling the Inner and Outer Spiral Experience. I would love to hear more of what you are experiencing and what questions emerge! xwendy |

Hi Wendy, this makes so much sense! Thank you for articulating how to access whole body awareness specific to weight bearing on the wrists! And I love you explained the natural self alignment that happens in DTB and UTF in lunge. Also, thank you for helping me to think beyond the parts of the body to the conversation my body has in relationship to the movement in Inner and Outer Spiral. So enlightening! Sarah |

Thank you so much, Sarah! We are studying being with the language of our bodies, rather than treating ourselves as a biomechanical, machine to be trained and fixed. I am looking forward to a day when we can explore movement together! xwendy |
