Wendy do you have a workshop for learning functional body movement for our clients. I was interested to know if your had any protocols to share to conduct classes for our clients. Love your work and I am enjoying your class Cultivating the Biointelligent Body!

Dear Lisa, thank you so much for your feedback on my embodied approach to movement. Each of my workshops on Fusion and Pilates Anytime are centered around themes that return us to our archetypal human movement patterning, and ability to self-heal. Have you observed the workshop I filmed on Fusion with Jen Gianni "Embodied Pilates Mat and More"? I'd love to hear your experience of it, and look forward to supporting your curiosity and dedication more in the future, xwendy

Hi Wendy - I'm seeing on the Albinus drawings that the Interosseous Membrane of the lower leg is highlighted as having both a "down" and an "up" quality. Can you say more about how this membrane is part of the Core Relationship and this dual quality. Does the Interosseous Membrane of the arm also have some of this quality with the connection of the hands? Thanks!

Hi Leslie, thank you for your insightful question. When I created this Chart about 10years ago, it was becoming evident to me that the foot, hand and spine are helixes that interplay with one another, which is what I have been speaking about in workshops. We can really see this when someone is fluidly walking and their pelvis is not locked….it is moving in a figure 8 pattern from one foot to the other as we weight shift. This is something people can begin to feel that is a great awareness assessment….what feels fluid…what feels static? Likewise, as we know, the interosseus membrane is a fascial continuity with our primordial embryonic body, so coloring the blue (waterfall) and red (uplift) quality gives some texture to how the Dome of the hand and foot comes alive and interplays with the two directions of the spine….yet there is also a widening (lateral) quality that I couldn’t show in that small space between the bones…which is the nature of MESO (the third embryonic layer that forms us). Let me know if that clarifies, and if there is anything else you would like to clarify! I’d love to explore more with you some day, xwendy

Hi again, Leslie, also remember that the DOMES of the Hands and Feet TALK to the DOMES of the entire body....DOME of the pelvic floor, diaphragm, thoracic outlet, palate and cranium! Looking forward to continuing our collaborative conversation! xxwendy
