Jennifer, first of all, many and heartfelt thanks for sharing these techniques. I always look forward to the week's new post! And I have a question concerning the most recent one, using the Smart Spine to balance deviations. When you started, the SS was on a diagonal toward the upper right thorax but it looked like it moved into a horizontal position as you applied pressure. Was that a trick of my perception, or camera angle, or did it actually happen!? And if so, was it intentional? Also, I could see a pretty distinct difference in April's breath into the left lower ribs, esp after the 2d iteration, but it would have been marvelous to have the camera focused right down on her back so we could see more of a before/after effect. I realize that just may not be possible with your setup there, but going on the theory that it never hurts to ask....! Thank you all again -- maureen |

Hi Maureen, The degree of the diagonal will be different with every spine. April ( esp the 2nd time ) did require more of a horizontal pull when adding the de rotation application. We will try to get better camera angles for the Pilates Show but we only have one camera for that. For workshops we have 3 or 4 cameras so you will see all the angles! You should check out Marie Jose's Smart Spine workshop on our site. You would really love it. Love Jen |
