Description

Taking traditional Pilates exercises and using them as a starting point to layer challenges and advanced movement concepts is what this workshop is all about. In this online Pilates workshop, Anula Maiberg provides a fresh take on lunging, rowing, chest expansion, back bends, knee stretch, and swan to name a few.

She also discusses cueing pointers and ways to approach building a session with the intent of working into more advanced material. Ever the curious and creative mover/observer, Anula brings her client into advanced progressions with humor and clear directives designed to make the movement accessible.

Objectives

  • To build on the fundamentals explored in Fusion Edu's Reformer Variations.
  • To demonstrate how to layer/build into advanced exercises using the reformer.

Cueing pointers to communicate more effectively.

How to make adjustments using props and manual/verbal cues to help a client understand the essence of an exercise.
