Description

Practicing balance, standing skills and building hip strength and mobility are important at every age. While the Pilates repertoire contains some standing exercises, many are performed in ways and at 'elevations' that can intimidate clients.

In this online Pilates workshop, explore how using the tower can provide options for both support and challenge. Designed with group and private instruction in mind, Kim Moscatello provides numerous variations that layer challenges for intermediate/advanced students, along with regressions appropriate for beginners or those who need to build progressive strength.

Concepts & Techniques

  • Using the tower to create a safe environment in which to explore balance and standing work
  • Challenge hip mobility/stability in standing, supine, and sitting
  • Exploring functional movements - pulling, pushing, crawling, squatting - with alternative spring attachments in a variety of positions

  • Trap/Cad
* All exercises can be performed on the Trap/Cad or Tower Push- thru bar Roll-down bar
