Lesley A. Powell teaches SpineFull and Hippiness: a workshop about maintaining youthfulness and agility in our spine and hips as we age.
Maintaining a youthful spine and hips as we age is essential for our ability to change levels, gait, and all movement activities. When our mobility diminishes it slowly affects our entire body from feet to head. This workshop builds from the basics of maintaining spine and hip health to more complex actions.
Pilates Repertory is a wonderful building foundation but applications need to be made to standing especially for our older clients.

I got back into teaching Pilates after a hiatus of many years. This courses was enjoyable and insightful and gave me some ideas for helping older adults or those with joint replacements.Alfred A
I appreciate having a PDF to follow along to so I can write notes. This is a very useful workshop for many different populations of clients. Thank you!
Great way to look at the spine!
Awesome!
Very good, thank you
I really valued to progressions that she put Annie through, but sometimes I found myself lost with how we made the progression or how it was related to what Annie was last doing.
Very helpful. I thought I focused on the hip/spine/pelvic alignment a great deal...but this video helped teach even more nuances to look for with our clients. In a perfect world - would be fun to have a pointer/circling tool over the screen when Leslie pointed out things on Annie.

Thank you for this workshop. I appreciated learning some nuances and tactile cueing, like the block in between the legs for footwork. Learned some new stretches too, like the lean against the wall. So yummy!
Enjoyed it very much; thank you!
great thank you!
Thank you Lesley, You have shared some great information that helps connects the dots in understanding how to achieve better posture and functional movement patterns, especially in standing. As we get old that is more important.
