Description

Join Spiral Spine Pilates founder Erin Myers in this online Pilates workshop to learn her unique approach to safely and effectively work with clients who have scoliosis.

Erin teaches many analyzing tools that will help you understand the complexities of scoliosis spinal curvatures and rotations. You will learn a hands-on spinal and pelvic assessment, a diagramming method for the body, and how to use a scoliometer to measure spinal rotation. Methods to track the client's progress of de-rotating and lessening the spinal curvature are also taught.

This process of analyzing is paired with how to mobilize and strengthen the spine, which will help reduce a client's pain and discomfort, allowing them to live their life to the fullest. In addition to a series of exercises designed for scoliosis, the workshop also addresses the emotional affects scoliosis can present, giving you the tools to inspire and educate your clients.
