Session 28
Assignment

Your Assignment:

Things to Focus On

1.) Explore release work and experiencing sensation in the upper body with your client to prepare their body and mind to move.
2.) Try out a few cues and concepts you learned in the Observation Video with your client to see if any resonate with them and make a difference in the quality of their movement.
3.) Don’t make it too complicated. Simplify concepts for your client. For example, have them move the spine into flexion, extension, rotation, etc., and notice how the scapula translate with the movement or not.

1 Personal Practice Hour:

Think about the Scapular Stability/Mobility and Stretching concepts we’ve focused on in the last Observation Video and Session Video, as well as the Things to Focus On above. Do a practice hour with these concepts in mind.

2 Student Teaching Hours:

Now, plan two teaching sessions based on these same concepts. Teach these sessions to a friend or family member. Incorporate some of the verbal and hands-on cueing you’ve seen in the videos. Try to make them your own.

Always treat these Teaching Hours the same as if you were in a studio teaching a paying client.

Don’t forget to log these hours in your Master Log!
