Session 15
Assignment

Your Assignment:

Things to Focus On

1.) Go back to what you know from your earlier sessions on release work. Sometimes you have to find some opening and expansion in the body before a neutral pelvis and spine become achievable.
2.) Bring the floor to your client. Sometimes the client needs a little contrast to start to understand what a neutral pelvis and spine feel like during a movement. And remember, never sacrifice the neutral placement for range of motion in the limbs. Bring in the range to build skill.
3.) Explore movements in and around the neutral spine placement. Challenge and see how well your client can move in and out of neutral, and how well they can find their “home base” posture.

1 Personal Practice Hour:

Think about the Neutral Pelvis/Spine and Lumbo Pelvic Stability concepts we’ve focused on in the last Observation Video and Session Video, as well as the Things to Focus On above. Do a practice hour with these concepts in mind.

2 Student Teaching Hours:

Now, plan two teaching sessions based on these same concepts. Teach these sessions to a friend or family member. Incorporate some of the verbal and hands-on cueing you’ve seen in the videos. Try to make them your own.

Always treat these Teaching Hours the same as if you were in a studio teaching a paying client.

Don’t forget to log these hours in your Master Log!
