Anula Maiberg was born in Israel and moved to NYC in 2001 in order to pursue a career in photography. While working on her degree at the School of Visual Arts she fell in love with Pilates through the classes and private sessions she took around the city. After receiving her Masters in Fine Art from the Royal College in London and a few years at a "desk" job she realized happiness wasn't in front of the computer screen. She decided to attended the Kane School for Core Integration (Kinected) to become a fully certified teacher graduated in 2009. After several years teaching she was accepted into the Kathy Grant Heritage Training Masers and graduated in 2014. Anula is passionate about upholding the traditions and principles of Pilates while being able to update and personalize them for the needs of her students. She also feels strongly about volunteering her time to the LGBTQ community and believes Pilates is a wonderful movement modality and a tool for healing in a supportive environment.

" I love the way she thinks out of the box. The unilateral work is so important and challenging which she does here. There were exercises for all levels. I already see how I can start with parts and gradually build clients up to do the full variation. Great workshop! "
Donna S (Reformer Variations)
" I love Anula\'s nurturing, yet person-centered approach with acceptance of the complexity of imperfection, perfection, and human practicality and function. "

Mallory H (Reformer Variations)
" The best words to describe this workshop is 3-d. Anula mentioned that in session 6. I really enjoy teaching in all 3 planes of motion and that goal was accomplished today. Thank you for all of your creative movement patterns "
Tammy B (Reformer Variations)
" I enjoy \"working\" with Anula, I am so glad I discovered her. I am on board with her philosophy that there are no bad movements and to allow students to work within their own range. the rigidity of pilates is frustrating sometimes. I find her approach refreshing and validating "
Suzanne C (Reformer Variations)
" This workshop is great. I love the creativity of the variations and most of all, it is fun!!! "
Jidapa N (Reformer Variations)
" Not only did I learn new exercises to try myself and have some of my students try but I feel refreshed after watching because I fully enjoy the freedom that Anula brings into her teaching. There is a sense of safe discovery that comes from suggesting movement sequences and patterns with no judgement and room to adjust at any moment during the exercise. Whether it be adjusting the equipment or the body to accommodate a healthy, fun, safe, and challenging movement experience. Thank you A and L! "
Angela W (Reformer Variations)
" Loved loved this....baby steps are key. Lori is so strong & makes it look effortless. Love Anula\'s cues, comments, jokes...all of it. And I loved that the one \"acrobatic\" did not quite work out. Regarding the hypermobility, I try NOT to lock my joints esp knees, elbows, because i can\'t move from a locked joint. I consider them my shock absorbers. Thank you thank you...look forward to more "
Jennifer S (Reformer Variations)
" Great ideas Anula. Enjoyed them. I am always looking for creativity on the pilates equipment. Thank you so much "
