In this online Pilates workshop by Allie Greene, you’ll explore how movement can be affected when we tune into our internal organs. Highlighting the heart and lungs, Allie demonstrates the importance of connecting to the body’s inner support network, and explores posture as a whole person experience through experiential learning, embodied anatomy, and somatic practices.
This workshop includes visual handouts and some video references to further your understanding of how incorporating these organs into your teaching practice can open up new avenues of inner awareness, alignment, and easeful movement.Allie covers a myriad of concepts and thoroughly explores the importance of a whole-body approach to movement, from the inside out.

Hi Joelle, I am so happy you enjoyed the workshop!
I really enjoyed this workshop. Allie`s presentation was spot on, even w/o a second mat;))
Hi Charles, Thanks so much for taking the time to give feedback. I\\\'m so happy you liked the workshop! I'll be filming two more in the spring!
Great course!
I really enjoyed thinking of the organs supporting us and moving around them to facilitate transion.
This workshop opened a novel (for me) connection between the role our organs, through support and expression, help initiate movement patterns in teaching pilates. It is often difficult to get the student to understand what they are feeling in a particular movement and the information on the role of our organs in this process is helpful.
Thank you so very much!i love the connectivity between the anatomy/science of the heart and lungs and the somatic experience of the systems within the body. great way to initiate movement. I also love the idea of allowing clients to be "within the zip code". this idea promotes a positive experience especially in challenging exercises
Thank you, I really appreciate how you bring the physicality to another dimension, it has a scent for me of Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen's work relating to the emotional colour of our organs. It makes our Pilates class so much more, it opens up to where I am keen on going myself. Thank you from the rolling of my heart :-)Caroline
Hi Caroline, Thanks so much for your lovely feedback! My teachers are Lisa Clark (Senior BMC teacher an Program Director) and Bonnie! I also bring in other things but the foundation of my work is BMC! I love that you know Bonnie.
Great workshop! Lots of useful tools and imagery!
Megan, thank you for your feedback. I\\\'m so glad you enjoyed the workshop and felt there were useful tools and imagery. I love imagery and I\\\'m so happy you appreciate it too!
Nice workshop, really liked the Cadillac work and got some good ideas.
Allie's presentation style was smooth and easy to listen to. The somatic addition to Pilates suits my sensibilities. My favorite line was "alignment is a zip code and not a destination"!
Thank you Mary Sue! Sounds like our sensibilities are a good match!
Interesting
Thank you so much!
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching!
Allie - Thank you for this heartfelt workshop. It is obvious that your love for movement and human beings has led you to an elegant path. This box does not allow me enough keystrokes to discuss, so I will be sending you a note of appreciation on Instagram or your email address. With Gratitude...
Shari, your words actually made me emotional. What I do and how I try to do it is an extension of who i am and how i hope to be the change. To know that someone sees that means so much.
