Helping your clients breathe more efficiently is not only a functional skill but a gateway to adaptive aging.
Learn techniques designed to calm the nervous system, create more mobility and awareness of the volume and movement of the rib cage, along with full-bodied exercises that interweave the full fascial, muscular, and skeletal systems in relation to breath.
This workshop uses minimal props - a ball, a mat, and a wall - to explore variations that build in complexity while mobilizing areas in the body that when locked can inhibit our capacity to breathe with fullness and ease. Because the resilience of the thoracic tissues decreases with age, the practice of breathing during Pilates is increasingly valuable.
Join the incomparable Elizabeth Larkam as she thoughtfully guides you through restorative exercises that will improve each and every breath you take!

Super helpful and truly enjoy Elizabeth Larkham
Thank you for this! These exercises are creative and adaptive to most clients.
Elizabeth is always such a wealth of knowledge!
There was a lot of thoroughly explained physical content which I appreciated.
Elizabeth Larkam is very special and I always enjoy working with her.
Very nice workshop. Thank you!
Session 1 was fabulous information, introducing the developing embryo/fetus as part of the story in how your lungs and respiratory organs function.
There was so much information in this workshop and particularly front loaded which made the class feel immediately intimidating. I wish it had been spread out more evenly.
Very detailed. Thank you.
I enjoyed the information... I found many uses for my classes and clients but I found it hard to focus and stay engages with her monotone voice. Though I found the movements beneficial I felt the class was misrepresented in the title.
I really enjoyed the movement practice including the band! Using the band as a "floor" for feedback was super helpful in allowing my body to really feel what was happening inside. The movements were innovative and new for me! I could have used a little bit more tying in of the first powerpoint session into the movement practice.
This was very helpful for my scoliosis. Surprisingly challenging!
I felt the use of the band and the wall were helpful for proprioception in the movements/moment. I appreciate that I am able to access the material for a month, so I can review certain aspects that I need to review.
Very relaxing and innovative!
I always enjoy Elizabeth Larkam's worshops because she really calms my nervous system and has all sorts of unique ways to have us explore our mind and body and our myofascial chains. thank you!
